On Deck Scale (ODS)

Scale your company and grow as a leader, surrounded by top founders.

On Deck Scale is a close-knit, trusted community of talented founders of some of the fastest-growing companies in the world. Everything we do at ODS is in service to helping our founders scale their companies and grow as leaders while building lifelong friendships with high-integrity peers. We created ODS because we wish we had this community as founders.

Cultivate the trusted community you need to scale as a leader

Navigate the complexity of startup scaling with executive coaching, mentorship, peer accountability, tactical sessions, and exclusive access to executive talent and investors.

Meet other world-class founders of scaling companies

We identify the very best founders from around the world through a competitive application process. Connect with your future friends, peers, (co-)investors, and collaborators through Founder Meals, intimate Mastermind Groups, Off The Record discussions, and in-person events. You'll develop deep relationships with talented peers from around the world that will last far beyond 4 months or a year.

Strictly off the record and fully confidential

Everything in On Deck Scale is off the record by default. We even have topic-specific sessions called OTRs (Off-The-Records). Scaling a company is hard; speak your mind, share your advice and get help on the difficult challenges from your peers.

Go deep with your Mastermind Groups

Engage with a mastermind group of 6 exceptional founders at similar stages to help you work through your biggest challenges and achieve your goals. Our Mastermind groups are opt-in only, and they're designed to get you to drop your guard, be vulnerable, and go deep.

A close-knit, trusted community of world-class founders.

Community is the core of On Deck Scale. Foster relationships with leaders at your stage, solve problems collaboratively and grow together.

Teaming up with @beondeck here.

Whoever I hire will get to participate in On Deck's Chief of Staff Fellowship.

It’s an incredible community to connect with and learn from others doing the CoS role.

I'll cover the cost.

Madison Campbell

So far I’ve been in @beondeck slack for two days and raised $20,000. The program doesn’t even kick-off until tomorrow. If this doesn’t convince you to join, idk what will. #beondeck #odf6

Kevin David

On Deck is going to be huge!

Thanks for letting me in when I was exploring what next after my stint at @AngelList.

Joined @beondeck in June 2020, met my co-founders in August, raised a seed round late last year. Team of 11 now, building a MVP with a few creators.

Coco Liu

The word “community” didn’t have a meaning to me until I joined @beondeck.

Harvey Multani

@beondeck will do for human capital what @AngelList did for financial capital

Derek Osgood

Ok so I promised I’d talk about On Deck (ODF6) changed my life. That’s it, that’s the tweet.

Actually, no it’s not. I’m a tweetstorm guy now (new year new me). So let’s talk ODF👇

Matt Restivo

I thought I knew talented people. Then I joined @beondeck.

Anna Nasr

@beondeck enabled me to work with incredible founders, helped me discover my product idea--and, through an On Deck fellow--got me my first pre-seed funding. I can't articulate how amazing the On Deck network is and what a positive force it's been in my life. Apply!

David Lobo

@beondeck is the most impactful community I've ever been involved with. It's the launchpad that has allowed me move faster every day. So thankful for their badass team.

Kyleigh Smith

Some people may be wondering if the hype is real.

The past 2 weeks I've joined fireside chats with @rrhoover @jmj @thehelenmayer @gregisenberg @bentossell.

Small groups in zoom. Deep insights shared. And they leave 30 min for audience questions.

The hype is real.

Rak Garg

You either die an On Deck fellow, or you live long enough to see yourself become an On Deck employee.

Joey DeBruin

Not only is community the new scarcity, it's absolutely a cold-start problem. Before @beondeck, I hated "networking." After, I have the opposite problem: too many genuinely energy-adding connections which keep branching out into more.

Kevin Huang

Online education will evolve to become more social.

@beondeck is a prime example. It is, without a doubt, one of the most transformative learning experiences I've had in my adult life.

I am very grateful for being a part of this community.

Alexander Hugh Sam

Just finished the @beondeck kick-off session for ODW1 and 🤯.

It's the most fun I've ever had for any onboarding whatsoever. The team and fellows are amazing and can't wait to get started.

Even did some (very bad) freestyle rapping and met cool people like @AnthonyMcG2!

Anthony McGuire

Highly recommend that people apply to the On Deck Writer Fellowship! It has been a gamechanger for me--one of the best programs in the world!

FAQ

Who should apply?

To be a good fit for On Deck Scale, you are probably

* A highly motivated founder of a venture-scale company who would benefit from the authentic relationships forged with other growth-oriented founders.
* Open to seeking the support, coaching, and mentorship required to scale yourself and your company.
* Willing to share your experiences, challenge assumptions, expand your perspectives, and raise the bar for yourself and others .
* Committed to lifelong learning and a spirit of service to others.

What does it cost?

The cost of On Deck Scale  is $8,450 or 4 installments of $2,450.

What is the time commitment? Will this be a distraction?

You should plan to invest 2-3 hours per week in On Deck Scale. The curriculum is designed to help you leverage time, networks, and resources to your exponential advantage. It’s our intention that one unit invested will yield many in return.

What if I'm too early? What if I'm too late?

We are committed to identifying and supporting the very best founders at every stage of company growth from Seed to IPO. We’ll group founders appropriately based on company stage and other relevant factors. Founders who have not raised capital should consider applying to the On Deck Fellowship.

Are there minimum capital or revenue requirements to apply?

We’re accepting applications from founders of seed stage companies to IPO. Seed stage founders must have raised at least $1.5M in the last six months or achieved $100k MRR run rate.

If I’m already well-connected in the startup ecosystem, do I need this?

We certainly believe so. ODS will benefit any founder committed to significant learning and personal growth, expanding their network and personal influence, and becoming a better leader. While the On Deck network is large and continually expanding, On Deck Scale is designed to help you scale yourself as fast as you’re scaling your company.

What if I'm based outside the US?

We are accepting Fellows from around the world.

For this first cohort, the majority of sessions will be in North American time zones, but recordings will available to Fellows at any time.  There will be additional content specifically designed for Fellows based in Europe.

Fellows from Asia are welcome to join, but we expect to have fewer sessions in local time zones for the first cohort of ODS.

Can non-founding CEOs apply?

Not yet – At this time we’re keeping focused on company founders.

Is this a fully remote program?

Yes: ODS will be run entirely remotely. This enables participation from all corners of the world. We’ve spent the past few ODF cohorts mastering the playbook for building remote communities and relationship building online, and will apply the same approach here.

Post-COVID, we’ll return to organizing offline programming like dinners, small gatherings, and retreats, but the core Fellowship will remain a remote-first experience.

Can founders who are not CEOs apply?

Yes – As long as you are the founder of a venture-scale company.

How long will I have access to the community?

After the fellowship ends, you’ll maintain access to your cohort and community.

What are the Guiding Values of On Deck?

You can view our values here, but to summarize: Service, Sacredness, Respect, and Gratitude.

Did we miss your question? Drop us a line and we will get back to you asap.
